Flower Portrait


I remember it was incredibly cold out when I made this image, which is probably the one and only reason I gravitated toward it this morning because it is incredibly cold out today. Just one of those strange associations I suppose.

I photographed this with some very expired slide film and cross processed it in C-41 chemistry. I'll be honest and say that ever since the explosion of Instagram I've been fairly turned off to cross processing but I'll make an exception here. I just get tired of people looking at an image and saying, "oh, I love Instagram too!!!".  *grumble*.  Still, the slightly yellow-ish tone on the skin worked out well here propped up against the lovely purple flowers.
