Tattoo in the Mirror

Pulled out the Mamiya 645e and really pushed the Ilford HP5 to get this image. Pushing HP5 all the way to ISO 1600 is really starting to grow on me, especially when working with a model who has a lot of movement and energy in front of the camera.

Camera: Mamiya 645e
Film: Ilford HP5
Model: Theresa Manchester
Location: Portland, OR

  1. I've got an unstarted roll of hp5+ in my camera right now (just 35mm, sorry) waiting to do my son's senior portraits. I had no idea it had that kind of latitude...I'm tempted to push it now.

  2. Oh yes, HP5 can be pushed like crazy. Having the right developer helps though!
