Half Light

Photographed out in the Columbia River Gorge on a brisk Spring afternoon.

I've always been fond of the way Mamiya lenses get slightly soft when wide open.  No disrespect to excellent Zeiss lenses like the Planar but sometimes I like it when a lens gets soft.  It works rather well when the human figure is your subject and you don't want incredible amounts of detail to show in the skin.

In this particular case we have the 80mm f/2.8 Sekor from a Mamiya C330 TLR used wide open.

Camera: Mamiya C330
Film: Fomapan 100
Location: Portland, OR - Columbia River Gorge
